Born on 22 April, 1967 in Szopienice. 1991–1995 he studied at the Art School of the Silesian University Cieszyn. He has taught at the University of Arts in Poznań since 1997 and was in 2011 appointed to a professorship there. Head of Faculty of Spatial Activities at the University of Arts in Poznan, teaching also sculpture in Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. Interested in the nomadic experiencing of the world. 2007–2008 he travelled around the world under the motto: 'Year of Wandering Life'. Sławomir Brzoska is situated in the traditions of constructivism, minimalism, neo-symbolism and the new geometry. He sees himself as an interpreter who endeavours to decode what lies hidden behind things, founded in their relationship to nature and in an interaction with space.
