Winner of the Gold Medal and Prize of the Governor of Bielsko-Biała in the XXXII National Painting Exhibition Bielska Jesień 1995, Galeria Bielska BWA, Bielsko-Biała.

Born in Wrocław, 1959; studied at the Faculty of Painting, Graphic Art and Sculpture at the National Higher School of Fine Arts in Wrocław between 1982 and 1987. In 1987 he received his degree in painting at Prof. Stanisław Kortyka’s studio and minored in visual activities and structures supervised by Dr. Wiesław Gołuch. Initially, he painted in oil, but in 2008 he began to create his first objects and paintings in acrylic.
His work draws upon the great tradition of rationalised thinking about the form of the image, but still loaded with emotion and not indifferent to the value of spiritual message. By using a subdued monochromatic palette and highly diversified textures, which reveal the delicate outlines of signs and unknown symbols, he obtains harmony and fullness of artistic expression. His numerous awards include the Gold Medal at the 32nd All-Poland Painting Competition Bielska Jesień (1995); award of journalists and critics at the Festival of Contemporary Polish Painting in Szczecin (1996); award of the Wrocław District of the ZPAP (1998); Grand Prize at the Festival of Contemporary Polish Painting in Szczecin (2000); ZPAP Award at the 6th Biennale of Small Painting Forms in Toruń (2005) and Grand Prize at the 13th All-Poland Salon of Plastic Arts in Ostrów Wielkopolski (2006).
