Born in 1957 in Korytowo near Żyrardów. In 1972-1978 he studied in a secondary technical school, while developing his painting interests in the arts center. Since 1979/80 he attended the courses in the studio of Rajmund Ziemski at the Faculty of Painting in the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. In the years 1980-1985 he worked in this studio, until his graduation. Since 1986, teacher at the Faculty of Industrial Design. Winner of the Grand Prix at the Festival of Paining in Cagnes-sur-Mer (1990).
In 1982, when he was still a student, he joined Gruppa. He took part in almost all it exhibitions and actions, co-edited the magazine "Oj dobrze już” (Oh, all right then) where he published poems, manifests, lecture scripts.
