Born in Sosnowiec, 1971; studied Intaglio Printing under Professor Stanisław Kluska and Drawing and Painting under Professor Jacek Rykała at the Faculty of Graphic Art of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków; currently heads the Section of Composition at her alma mater; specializes in painting, graphic art, graphic design and illustrations. Recipient of a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and Art (1996). Co-founder of a number of artistic groups including SECTO, Turerzy and Grupa Laokona. Winner (jointly with Michał Kopaniszyn) of the Third Prize for her project Hyperart during an art exhibition organized by Galeria Bielska BWA in 2004. In 2008 she was an artist in residence at the North Wales School of Art and Design in Wrexham, Wales, UK. She creates images inspired by popular culture including hypermarket still lifes showing the modern world which is full of transient values. Her artistic creations take the sentimental form of images showing old collectible ads or multipacks, works consisting of several elements making up promotional six for the price of five packs in which no traditional themes in painting are followed. Her works have novel subjects in the form of images showing products that were advertised in the 1920s or contemporary mass produced goods.
