Born in 1947 in Santana do Livramento, Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil). She studied drawing and painting in the Centre of Arts “Rodó” in Rivera, Uruguay (1963-1966). She learned wood engraving in the Studio of Danubio Gonçalvez “Atelier Livre” in Porto Alegre. In 1978 she graduated from the University of Porto Alegre in the area of painting (under the supervision of Aldo Malagola) and drawing (Cristina Balbao). She participated in 55 collective exhibitions in Brazil.
