Born in 1927 in Warsaw, died on 30 August 2012. In 1943-1944 he attended Konrad Krzyżanowski underground school in Warsaw. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, in the studio of Eugeniusz Eibish (1946-1951). Graduated in 1956 and became the member of the didactic staff in the Academy. Winner of Jan Cybis Award (1977) and  Kazimierz Ostrowski Award (2004). His works were displayed during the Łódź of Four Cultures Festival in Łódź in 2011, at the vernissage titled “The Dyer’s Hand” (Ręka Farbiarza). In 2012 he received the Gold Medal for Merit to Culture “Gloria Artis”.
