Born in Frysztak, 1974. From 1994 to 1999 he studied under the tutelage of Professor Stanisław Rodziński at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, from which he graduated in 1999. Since 1998 he has been working at his alma mater, currently as a lecturer in one of its Sections which is headed by Professor Janusz Matuszewski. Since 2000, he has been an active member of the Kontrapost Association of Young Artists. He specializes in figurative graphic art and paintings. Recipient of scholarships funded by the Minister of Culture and Art (1998, 2006). In 1997 he went to Florence, Italy on a scholarship from the Italian-based Romualdo del Bianco Foundation. The following year he was also sponsored by the Council of Europe under the Face to Face programme to spend some time as an artist in residence in Chernivtsi, Ukraine. In 2001 he carried out a project entitled Everyday Life at Kunstlerhaus in the German town of Cuxhaven in Germany and in 2007 he won a scholarship awarded under the Young Poland programme. Winner of the Grand Prix in the 36th Bielska Jesień Polish National Competition of Contemporary Painting in 2003. Participant in many group exhibitions.
