Born in 1954 in Opole. Studied at the Institute of Art at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Fine Arts at the Cieszyn Branch of the University of Silesia in Katowice. Diploma in painting under the supervision of Prof Norbert Witek (1979). He obtained the qualifications of first and second degree film art in the photography discipline at the Cinematography and Television Production Department of the State Higher School of Film, Television and Theater in Łódź (1997 and 2000). In 2008 he was awarded the title of professor of film arts. Member of the Union of Polish Art Photographers and the Opole Photographic Society.

He took part in several dozens of collective exhibitions. He presented his works at dozens of collective and individual exhibitions. He lives in Bielsko-Biała.
He practices photography in the field of photography. The main themes are subjective document, portrait, act, genre scenes, still life, often realized in aesthetics similar to pictorialism. In the photographed reality, he tries to emphasize unique situations with potential for wide interpretation.
