Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, Department of Graphics in Katowice. Diploma with distinction in 1988. Full professor, he runs a painting studio for students from the second to fifth year (diploma) at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. Since 1989, he has completed eleven series of paintings, including: "Adhesions", "Walls of the Past", "Building Identity", "My house is my language", "Multicultural", "Narcosis and Euphoria".

Winner of 30 national and international awards and prizes, including the Grand Prix - the prize of the mayor of the city of Chamalières at the 1st World Triennial of Small Graphic Forms in Chamalières (France, 1988). Scholarship (grant) "The Pollock-Krasner Foundation Award" in New York (USA, 1993). Gold Medal at the XXXI National Painting Exhibition Bielska Jesień (Bielsko-Biała, 1994), Bronze Medal - Meritorious to Culture Gloria Artis (2016).
