Interpretation

Patrícia Corrêa is engaged in performance art, photography, video and installation, exploring the fragility of the presence of time, using fragments of life and memories as a metaphor for immaterial presence. Using various media, she builds repositories of memory to explore the complexity of the very behavior of memory. Memory as a temporal phenomenon that reflects hybridity on the body, mind and external beings and objects. By refragmenting a given memory with its personal narrative it creates a new image, a new visual emotion, a new frame for post-visual memory. Exhibited and performed in public spaces, galleries, festivals and museums almost all over the world, also in Poland, e.g. in the third edition of the Visual Arts Festival organized by the BWA Bielska Gallery in Bielsko-Biała in 2016 and the TANCEBA exhibition in 2017.
