Born in Żywiec, 1937. From 1946 to 1956 she lived in Bielsko-Biała, where she graduated from the School of Visual Art Techniques. Between 1957 and 1963 she studied under the tutelage of Professor Stanisław Dawski at the Wrocław Academy of Fine Arts, from which she graduated in 1963. In 1964 she joined the Association of Polish Art Photographers. She specializes in painting, photography, drawing, art performances and video. Recipient of scholarships from the Kosciuszko Foundation in New York (1977), Verein KulturKontakt in Vienna (1991) and the Swiss-based Pro-Helvetia Foundation (1994). Since 2004 she has been a visiting artist at the Poznań Academy of Fine Arts. Co-founder of Galeria Permafo in Wrocław (1970). In 1975 she joined the international feminist art movement and since then she has participated in numerous symposia and exhibitions. In 1978 and 1981 she served as Commissioner of the 1st and 2nd International Triennial of Drawing in Wrocław and in 1989 and 1995 she was Vice-Chair of the 4th and 6th Triennial. Natalia LL’s works have been displayed at important art exhibitions in both Poland and other countries including the 9th Biennale de Paris, Paris, 1975; 15th Biennale Internationale Arte São Paulo, 1979; Erotik in der Kunst, Kunstverein München, 1982; La Photographie Polonaise, Paris, 1982, Europa, Europa, Bonn, 1994; “Natalia LL – Ogrody personalizmu”, Warsaw, 1998, and “Podusmowania”, Galeria Bielska BWA, Bielsko-Biała, 2004. In 2004, Galeria Bielska BWA and BWA Wrocław published two of her books “Natalia LL. Texts. Texts by Natalia LL. On Natalia LL’s Creative Work” and “Natalia LL – Dreams and Dreaming”. Her works can be seen in the collections in Poland and abroad.
