Born in Warsaw, 1978; studied at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (1999-2004), from which he graduated in 2003 (major in Painting under Professor Jarosław Modzelewski and minor in Sculpture under Professor Piotr Gawron). His current areas of interest in art include painting, sculpture and music. A co-founder of the Der Blaue Ratler group set up in the autumn of 2004. He creates realistic images with geometric divisions, whose main theme is architecture. The thematic brevity, inner calm and unique atmosphere of his works lend an almost metaphysical quality to his artistic creations. Recipient of the Special Prize of the Exit art quarterly awarded at the Promocje 2004 National Review of Young Painters (Legnica Art Gallery). In 2007, he received an honorary mention at the 7th Painting Biennial of Miniature Paintings (Galeria Wozownia, Toruń, Poland) and the Grand Prix at the “Jesienne Konfrontacje” Triennale of Contemporary Polish Painting (BWA, Rzeszów). In 2008, he received the Award of the Marshal of the Province of Zachodniopomorskie at the 22th Festival of Polish Contemporary Painting held at the Pomeranian Dukes' Castle in Szczecin and honorary mentions at the Ninth International Autumn Salon of Arts (BWA, Ostrowiec Świetokrzyski) and the Warsaw Franciszka Eibisch Competition, during which he was nominated for the Grand Prize. A year later, in 2009 he received an honorary mention at the 39th “Bielska Jesień” Painting Biennial and in 2010 he was presented with an award sponsored by Euroafrica Shipping Lines Co. Ltd. at the 23rd Festival of Polish Contemporary Painting held at the Pomeranian Dukes' Castle in Szczecin. He has staged two solo exhibitions at the Scientific Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Vienna (2006) and Galeria Promocyjna in Warsaw (2007).
