Born in Stanisławów, 1936, died in 2018 in Bielsko-Biała. Studied under the tutelage of Professor Hanna Rudzka-Cybisowa at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków (1955-61), from which he graduated in 1961. Recipient of scholarships from the Ministry of Culture and Arts. His main area of interest is painting in its abstract forms. His works are displayed under the pseudonym Yale. He has painted about 250 paintings. He was linked with Galeria Bielska BWA right from its inception until the late 1980s. He has been chosen four times to be on the jury of the Bielska Jesień National Painting Competition and selected twice to serve as its Commissioner. For many years he has been an active journalist writing critical reviews, introductions to exhibition catalogues and news articles about artistic events, including contributions to such publications as the Cultural Guide to the Region of Bielsko and Beskidian Calendar. He is also the author an anti-novel entitled Charlatan. His works can be found in the collections of the Bielsko-Biała Museum, the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage in Warsaw, Galeria Bielska BWA as well as in private collections in the cities of Katowice, Kraków and Bielsko-Biała.
