Born in Kraków, 1973; studied at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków; obtained her degree under Prof Stanisław Karpowicz in 1999; an interdisciplinary artist engaged in both the traditional and new media of artistic expression, including painting, video, performance and modern dance. Winner of the Second Prize at the 7th International Presentations of Contemporary Dance Forms (Kalisz, 1999), the Third Prize at the International Choreographic Competition (Prague, 2003), distinction at the 39th Painting Biennial “Bielska Jesień 2009”. In 2010 she participated in the Art Fair “Sfera Sztuki” [sphere of art ], and then in “Bardzo dobre obrazy” [very good paintings] exhibition held by Galeria Bielska BWA in Bielsko-Biała. Her creative activity focuses mostly on human identity reflected in various cultural manifestations. She is especially interested in the limits of mental and physical endurance in sports, sciences and religious practices. She also concentrates on the correlations and interdependencies between different individual disciplines of art, as well as exploring possibilities of “crossbreeding” different areas of artistic expression.
