Born in Wrocław, 1976; graduated from the Faculty of Graphic Art of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw; specializes in painting, drawing, poetry and video.
One of the most original artists of the younger generation representing the Wrocław alternative scene. Even when he was a student he showed himself to be an original and very prolific artist. After graduating from the university, he participated in many exhibitions. His lively strokes and caustic sense of humour were appreciated by the Gazeta Wyborcza, which used to publish his drawings commenting on the reality of life in Poland in its Wrocław edition.
He has written a book entitled Banbury or What Happened on the Brig, which is a kind of novel or catalogue in the form of a photo comic strip. The book represented his debut as a prose writer and was accompanied with the staging of an exhibition entitled “Darmo-wino” shown at Galeria Awangarda in Wrocław and Galeria Bielska BWA in Bielsko-Biała in 2008. The presentation consisted of a series of works entitled Workers of the Car-Bumper Factory in which he satirically commented on today's patterns of behaviour. He presented there a collection of caricature portraits of his co-workers at Banbury and their bosses. The portraits are presented in the form of collages, where everyone has their face replaced with the mouths of furry animals or the heads of birds. Most of his works are accompanied by witty annotations that are often full of self-irony and literary and philosophical comments on the part of the author.
His previous exhibitions also include titles like “Pedigree and Unpedigreed Cats and Dogs”, “The Previous Dogs + A Horse” or “Scotoma Caused by Splashes”. His latest fascination is with painting motorbikes.
